Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American stage and screen actor best well-known for her films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the television show The Mentalist. She completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a master's degree in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actress in theater and film, and she is also a producer. Her acting journey began in the theater before appearing in several television series as well as mainstream and independent films. Her biggest success came as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes. In both these roles she was praised by critics and received numerous nominations and distinctions including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel In The Tempest. She's appeared as a character on Broadway on stage in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is best known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her character on ABC's crime show High Incident.
